Cavaliers’ radio call of Max Strus’ wild game-winner was among best of NBA season

The wild 60-foot game-winner from Max Strus was more than enough to send both Cleveland Cavaliers fans and NBA fans in general into a frenzy. But the energy provided by the team's radio host, Tim Alcorn, certainly rivaled any real-time reaction we've seen to an NBA finish this season, and it was enough to leave fans with goosebumps.

Following the incredible last-second heave from Strus to give the Cavaliers a 121-119 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Awful Announcing dropped the clip of the epic radio call by Alcorn.

It's as close to perfection as you'll find, with Alcorn's energy matching that of the arena, players and general fans who witnessed the result.

As for Strus, he was the hero of the night, and the cape went on even before his viral game-winner. Strus took over for the Cavaliers in a moment when they needed it most, knocking down four three-pointers in the span of 67 seconds, a stretch that began with his team trailing by 10 with 3:42 remaining. Following his fourth three-pointer in a row, the Mavericks called a timeout at the 2:35 mark, holding just a one-point lead.

Strus finished the night with 21 points, all of which came from beyond the arc, as he knocked down 7-of-10 attempts from deep.
