Women's title street fight set for next week's Ring of Honor TV

Athena will defend the ROH Women's World Championship in a street fight on the June 22 edition of Ring of Honor TV.

As announced during this week's ROH TV episode by ROH board of directors members Tony Khan and Stokely Hathaway, a Chicago Street Fight for the Women's World title is set for next week's episode, with Athena defending her title against Kiera Hogan.

Following Athena's win over Trish Adora in a Proving Ground match on this week's episode, Hogan made the save as Athena continued to attack Adora after the match. Hogan hit Athena with a trash can lid, then Athena speared Hogan through a table. Later in the episode, Khan and Hathaway announced the Chicago Street Fight for next week.

The bout will be the fourth career singles meeting between Athena and Hogan in AEW and ROH, with Athena holding a 3-0 career singles mark against Hogan. They wrestled most recently on the June 1 Ring of Honor TV show, where Athena defeated Hogan to retain the ROH Women's title.

The two met twice in singles matches in AEW in 2022, once on Dark: Elevation and once on Rampage.
